Launched in the years 2010 and 2013 respectively, the Welding electrodes and MIG wires form an integral part of ISWP’s direct business product portfolio. With the extensive expertise and experience, the Department of Welding Products is driven by the intent of ensuring the highest quality of products.

What we do

A quality manufacturer of a wide range of steel products, ISWPL forayed into the field of welding products in the year 2010 with the launch of the welding electrodes business. This was later expanded further with the addition of MIG wires in 2013.

Marketed under the brand name ‘SPARK’, these products are manufactured in compliance with the AWS and BIS standards (or as per the specific requirements of DIN/BS standards) to meet the exact needs of our customers.

Products Description Application
Spark E6012 General purpose rutile coated electrode suitable for welding mild steel in all positions using AC or DC +/-. Chimneys, gates & grilles, machine building, repair jobs, shaft reclamation, steel furniture & frame works, storage tanks & railing, etc.
Spark Bronze Medium coated general purpose mild steel rutile electrode that operates in all positions on low OCV. Grilles, gates, general repair welding, automobile garages, farming implements repair, tubular furniture, truck/bus bodies.
Spark E6013 Medium coated general purpose mild steel rutile electrode that operates in all positions on low OCV. Grilles, gates, general repair welding, automobile garages, farming implements repair, tubular furniture, truck/bus bodies.
Spark Silver Medium-heavy coated mild steel rutile electrode for high quality welding of dynamically loaded structures. General light & medium structural fabrication including structures subject to dynamic loading, tanks & vessels, sheet metal fabrication, etc.
Spark Gold Heavy coated rutile mild steel electrode with superior welding performance. Very smooth & controlled arc gives excellent radiographic quality. Steel structures subject to dynamic loading, general fabrication, tanks & vessels, railway bogies & under-frames, ship building & pipe welding.
Spark E7016 Basic coated hydrogen controlled electrode with superior metal properties & radiographic weld deposit Root runs in pipelines subject to low temperature in 5G & 6G positions. Welding of high sulphur steels. Buffer layers for hard-facing & joining cast iron to MS
Spark Diamond Basic coated, hydrogen controlled iron power electrode, with 110% metal recovery, excellent welding performance & radiographic quality Dynamically loaded heavy structures with impacts down to -300C, pressure vessels & boilers, pipe welding in 5G & 6G positions, tanks & bridges, etc.

Spark 8018 G Basic coated iron powder type hydrogen controlled electrode for welding medium tensile steels Steel structures under dynamic load, joining of low carbon & medium tensile steels, storage tanks, pressure vessels, pipes, bridges, ship-building, etc.
Spark 9018 G Spark 8018 B2 Basic coated hydrogen controlled electrode for welding creep resistant steels of 1.25 Cr – 0.5 Mo type. Welding of 1.25Cr-0.5Mo & similar creep resisting steels used in high temperature components of power plants, boilers, oil refineries, petro-chemical plants, etc.
Spark 9018 B3 Basic coated, hydrogen controlled electrode for welding creep resistant steels of 2.5Cr-1.0Mo type. Welding of 2.5Cr-1.0Mo & similar creep resisting steels used in power plants, boilers, oil refineries, petro-chemical plants, super-heaters, hydro-crackers, etc.
Products Description Application
Spark E307 Rutile coated stainless steel electrode giving 18Cr/8Ni/5Mn weld deposit which is heat resistant up to 9000C. Joining of austenitic manganese steels (13% Mn) & dissimilar welding of carbon/alloy steels to stainless steels. For cladding carbon steels & as buffer layers prior to hard surfacing.
Spark E308 For welding 18-8 austenitic stainless steels corresponding to AISI 301. 302, 304, 305 & 308 type series. Plants, vessels & pipelines in the chemical, food processing, fertilizer, process plant industries. Also, for welding of thin sheets & pipes for tubular furniture, railings, staircases, etc.
Spark E308L All position welding electrode used for joining austenitic steels of types 301, 302, 308, 308L, 304, 304L, 321, & 347. Plants, vessels & pipelines in the chemical, food processing, fertilizer, process plant & oil and gas industries. Also, for welding of thin sheets & pipes for tubular furniture, railings, staircases, etc.
Spark E309 Medium-coated, rutile based stainless steel, all-position electrode with 23% Cr & 12% Ni composition. Welding dissimilar metal joints between carbon & low alloy steels to stainless steel such as cleats for super-heaters, anchors for castables& intermediate welds in clad steels of 18/8 type.
Spark E309L Rutile based, extra low carbon, all position austenitic stainless steel electrode of 23Cr-12Ni type. Welding dissimilar metal joints between mild & low alloy steels to stainless steel, intermediate welds in clad steels of 18/8 type, under-laying of mild/low alloy steels for hard-facing, etc.
Spark E309Mo Rutile types all position electrode giving 25/12/2.5 Mo weld deposit with excellent resistance to chemical corrosion & heat. Suitable for acid resisting clad steels & root runs in the transition between stainless layer in a clad steel & the unalloyed base metal. Widely used for joining of dissimilar metals eg. Moly bearing austenitic steels to carbon & low alloy steels.
Spark 310 Rutile, basic-type 25Cr-20Ni, heat resistant austenitic stainless steel electrode with excellent stability & oxidation resistance in continuous service up to 11500C. Heat resisting steels of 25Cr-20Ni type in hydrogenation & polymerization plants, annealing boxes, carburinzing pots, gas turbine combustion chambers, blast furnace overburden probes, etc. Welding stainless to alloy &hardenable steels.
Spark 316L Extra low crabon, rutile type, all position Mo bearing stainless steel electrode with 18% Cr, 12% Ni, 2.5% Mo weld deposit and a controlled ferrite number of 3-8. Specifically designed for 18/13/3 Mo type steels corresponding to AISI 316, 316L & 317 grades. Commonly used in chemical, paper & pulp, paint & dye and textiles industries & other industries where vessel surfaces are exposed to various corrosive acids.
Spark 1220 AS Low heat input electrode with a duplex austenitic-ferritic structure which makes it extremely crack-resistant in dissimilar welding applications. Welding of dissimilar joints between carbon, high & heat resistant steels & for joining low & high alloy steels. For tool, die & spring steels, cams gears & shafts in steels plants, rolling mills, cement plants, power plants, all process plants & manufacturing shops, etc.

Spark HX350 Rutile types hard-facing electrode giving tough air hardening type 2Cr-1Mn deposit which is resistant to moderate abrasion & impact loads. Specially used in earth moving equipment, steel plants, rolling mills & maintenance shops. Typical use include reclamations of rollers, idler wheels, brake shoes, crane wheels, wobblers, gears, shaft forging dies, etc.
Spark HX650B Basic coated hard-facing electrode depositing a high-alloyed Cr-Mo type air hardening non-machinable weld metal. Reclamation of machine parts undergoing severe wears. Specially used in earthmoving equipment, paper & sugar mills, steels plants & forging shops.
Spark HX CRC Super heavy coated hard facing electrode giving a chrome-carbide type deposit for extreme abrasion resistance. Hard-surfacing of components in mines, steel plants, forging shops, earthmoving equipment, ceramic & agricultural industries.
Spark HX Mn Basic coated electrode depositing 14% Mn austenitic weld metal which is work hardenable. Austenitic-Mn steel surface subjected to wear by heavy impact & shocks. Used in mining industries, steel & cement plants, railways for machine parts.
Spark Bell Heavy coated, hard facing electrode which gives an air hardening type deposit offering high resistance to severe abrasion & impact at elevated Blast furnace bells & hoppers, foundry parts, tong pins, cutting knives, valve seat & rolling mill guides, hot shears, crusher jaws & for equipment used at elevated temperatures in steel plants.
Spark CI70FN Ferro-Ni type designed for welding & repairing of all weldable cast iron. Foundries, steel plants & rolling mills for repairing & joining of cast iron components & parts. Repairing of engine heads, casings, impellers, etc.
Products Description Application
Spark MIG Copper coated wires with special chemistry for continuous welding (GMAW) of unalloyed steel. Automotive sector & ancillaries, ship building, railways & other applications, construction & earthmoving equipment.
Spark ER 80S-G Copper coated low alloy wire for GMAW of HSLA steel up to 550 N/mm2 in light, medium & heavy fabrication units. Welding of high tensile steels like IS 8500 grades 540B, IS 2002 Gr III, SAILMA 450/450H1, ATSM grades like SA-36/36M, A, B, C & D grades of SA-283/ 283M, etc.
Spark ER 90S-G Copper coated low alloy wire for GMAW of HSLA steels in light, medium & heavy fabrication units. Welding of high tensile steels like IS 8500 grades 540B, 570B & 590B, IS 2002 Gr III, SAILMA 450/450H1. Widely used for welding of CONCOR wagons in railways.
Spark ER 90SD-2 Copper coated mild steel wire for submerged arc welding of mild & medium carbon structural steels in combination with various grades of submerged arc fluxes.
Spark SAW Flux All-purpose aluminate-rutile type agglomerated flux for general purpose applications. Welding of structural, pressure vessels & boilers, machine building, automobiles, earth-moving equipment, etc.
