- ISWP is recognized with the “Energy Efficient Unit” award in metal category in the 21st National Award for Excellence in Energy Management-2020 organized by CII.
2019
- ISWP is granted with the right and license of Road Traffic Safety Management System by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS).
2018
- ISWPL recognised as “Emerging Industry Leader” on crossing 550 score in TBEM assessment(actual score 551).
- Awarded with “Significant Achievement in HR Excellence.” in CII HR Excellence Assessment 2017 for placing in the band of 500-550 score.
2017
- “Significant Adoption” recognition from the TAAP Jury for the contribution made by ISWPL in the field of Education of AA girl child.
- Taking forward the strategy of the company, establishment of binding wire plant was started at JEMCO area.
- Upgradation of the IMS certificates to ISO 9001.2015, ISO 14001.2015 and OHSAS 18001.2007 for both the units – ISWP & JEMCO.
2016
- Conferred with ‘Active Promotion of TBEM’ Recognition, for crossing 500 points (Actual score 504) for the first time in a TBEM Assessment.
- Awarded with “Significant Achievement in HR Excellence.” in CII HR Excellence Assessment 2016 for crossing the band to 500-550 score.
- Intervention in Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV) Potka has been recognized as a “Good Practice” by the TAAP Jury for the year.
- Conferred with 3 Star rating by CII Safety, Health & Environment Award FY 15-16.
IMS certification for JEMCO plant for the standards ISO 9001.2008, ISO 14001.2004 and OHSAS 18001.2007.
2015
- Inauguration done of Technical Development Center for Welding Products Business catering to development of the electrodes as per the AWS standards.
- IMS certification for ISWP plant for the standards ISO 9001.2008, ISO 14001.2004 and OHSAS 18001.2007.
- Kick off done for TPM Consistency Journey.
2014
- Awarded with TPM Excellence (Category A) award 2014 by Japan Institute of Plant Maintenance (JIPM) after successfully clearing the 1st Stage and 2nd stage Assessment for TPM Excellence Award.
- Awarded with first CII HR Excellence -2014.
- Adopted Kasturba Gandhi Ballika Vidyalaya, Potka, school for under privileged girl students and started training centers for Archery, Mushroom farming, organic farming and stitching.
- Commercialization of Nails started in the month of December through the EPA business model. The business conceptualized through the innovation implemented for TMT end cuts re-utilization.
2013
- Awarded with “Serious Adoption of TBEM” for being placed in the band of 450-550 in the first TBEM Regular Assessment.
- Undergone first Tata Affirmative Action Program (TAAP) Assessment for the initiatives taken for upliftment of AA community.
- Strategically enhanced the product basket by starting Barbed wire production at wire mill.
- First accreditation ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 Certification for JEMCO plant.
2012
- Undergone first TBEM Assessment and was placed in the band of 450-500. ISWP was recognized by Tata Business Excellence group for crossing the 450 milestone.
2011
- First time accreditation of ISWP plant with ISO 14001 certification.
- Safety Excellence Journey started benchmarking the Safety Management System of Tata Steel.
2010
- Galvanizing Operation started in Wire Mill, enabling the production of GI wires.
- Establishment of inhouse Effluent Treatment Plant.
- TPM Kick Off done for improvement in the productivity and profitability of the company.
2009
- New Business venture started of Stick Electrode and MIG welding Wire to enhance the direct business portfolio.
- Innovation enabling the TMT Rolling & TMT Straightening done at Rod Mill to cater to the increasing demand for rebars.
2007
- New Business venture: Zinc Refinement at JEMCO.
2005
- Accreditation of ISO 9001 certification for ISWP Plant.
2004
- Accreditation of ISO 9001 Certification for JEMCO Plant.
2003
- Tata Steel Takeover done of ISWP and JEMCO with 92% of shareholding. Accreditation of ISO 9001 certification for ISWP Plant.
