  1. ISWP celebrated the National Energy Conservation Day on 14th Dec’22. SHE team had organized various events for creating awareness on the energy conservation. It was a week program.
  2. 20th Dec’22 has been celebrated as ISWP day since 2003. Many events & competitions are conducted to engage employee & their family member in a week from 13th to 20th Dec’22. Mini Marathon is one such event which is connected every year on the eve of ISWP Day.
 
  1. Inaugural Ceremony of Quality & Innovation Month was held on 3rd Nov’22. The Occasion was graced by MD ISWP, Mr. Neeraj Kant and other senior leadership team and Union President of ISWP and Jemco. Various events were organized during the entire month for employees as well as the family members including children.
  2. ISWP has been actively participating in various awards and recently challenged the Encon Awards 2022, hosted by CII Eastern Region. ISWP has received a star rating of 4.75 out of 5. A total of 60 companies has participated in this event and ISWP has been in top 10 companies.
  3. ISWP Archers won medals in “Khelo Jharkhand 2022-23 District Archery Tournament” held at JRD Tata Sports Complex on 22.11.2022. All medals were won by the ISWP Archers of different archery centre of ISWP.
 
  1. ISWPL Crossed 601 in TBEM Assessment 2022 under the Tata Business Excellence Model (TBEM). The annual Business Excellence Assessment is an integral part of organisational management practices in the Tata group. It has been critical in strengthening the strategic and operational capabilities of Tata companies since its inception. Currently ISWP is within the band of “Emerging Industry Leader”.   1. ISWPL has been assessed by third party IRCASS assessors for certification of Energy Management System. The objective of the standard is to help organizations achieve their energy efficiency, energy security, reduce energy consumption sustainably. As a result of the successful implementation of Energy Management System in the company, ISWP has been certified with ISO 50001:2018 certification dated 9th Sept’2022.
  1. 76TH Independence Day celebrated at ISWPL, the occasion was graced by Mr. Neeraj Kant, MD ISWP and he hoisted the National Flag in presence of ISWP Union General Secretary Mr Pankaj Singh, Union Dy. President Mr. Srikant Singh, and Senior Leadership team.
  1. An exhibition was organized by Gyanodaya Noble Academy on July 25, 2022. Its purpose is to encourage the art of school children by displaying them in front of everyone. In the exhibition program Mrs. Ruchi Narendran, Mrs. J.J. Irani, Managing Director of JUSCO Tarun Daga, Union President Mr. Rakeshwar Pandey was present. The products on display were made by specially abled children of GNA.
  1. ISWPL has been conferred with Significant Adoption for crossing an overall score band of more than 550 for the first time. ISWPL also rewarded for Best in class for Individual E’s (Education) in the TAAP Convention program on June 2022.
  2. On the occasion of World Environment Day, tree plantation program was organized in Graphene Plant premises on 5th June 2022. On this occasion company Managing Director Mr. Neeraj Kant, TSL’s VP Mr. Chanakya Choudhary, Heads of Departments, Union Members. and other employees were present.
  3. On 15th June 2022, Dr. Bhagwat Karad (Central Minister of Finance for State) visited Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya, Potka, while inspecting the development of the school of Jamshedpur.MD ISWP, informed him about the transformation journey of Potka school and ISWP in depth interventions in process development and achievements of the school.
  4. ISWP organized a Yoga session to celebrate International Yoga Day on 21st June’22. The occasion was graced by MD ISWPL, Mr. Neeraj Kant and WPLU President Mr. Rakeshwar Pandey. The yoga practice session was conducted by Shri Narendra ji, district in-charge of Patanjali Yog Peeth and his colleague Shri Ajay Kumar Verma.
  1. Blood Donation Camp was organized at ISWPL Hospital on 26th May 2022. On this occasion, Mr. Neeraj Kant, Managing Director of the Company, Mr. Pankaj Singh (General Secretary-ISWP), Mr. Shrikant. Singh (Deputy President- ISWPL), Shri Amit Sarkar (General Secretary-JEMCO Graced the occasion. A total of 75 units of blood were collected during the camp which have been donated by the employees, contractors, and others.
  2. Dealers Meet was organized on 5th May’22 at The Gateway Hotel, Ernakulam, Kerala. The Meet was organized for the Nail dealer at Kerala. MD ISWP interacted with the dealers and explained them about the Business Model and value propositions provided by ISWP.
  1. ISWP received “Best implementation of PCRAs Energy Audit report Award” (for reduction in specific FO consumption as a part of Saksham 2022). Three awards have been given nationwide, ISWP being the only company in the east who received this prestigious award. The awards have been received by Mr. Vijayant Kumar (Vice President – RODMILL). This is an initiative by Ministry of Petroleum for promoting reduction in energy consumption. The Award was given by Petroleum Secretary in presence of CMD’s/MDs – of ONGC, GAIL, IOCL, and HPCL.
  2. 14th April’2022 was observed as National Fire service Day. Various events were organized to create awareness among the employees.
  3. India Junior National Hockey Tournament was organized from 20 April to 1 May at Naval Tata Hockey Academy located in Company Township. Teams from more than 20 states participated. MD ISWP, Mr. Neeraj Kant and Vice President Mr. JK Singh encouraged the players and technical officers during the tournament. The team of Naval Tata Hockey Academy was the winner in the tournament, while the team of SAIL Academy, Rourkela was the runner-up.
  1. 3rd March’22 was celebrated as Founder’s Day at ISWPL. MD ISWPL paid homage to Sir JN Tata. ISWP participated in various event conducted by TATA Steel.
  2. ISWPL has been conferred with two prestigious Sports Awards, “Overall Championship” for excellent participation and engagement of ISWP employees in various sports events organised by Tata Steel sports team round the year and “Fair Play” award for its discipline, good conduct, and demonstration of excellent sportsman spirit during the events. On behalf of ISWPL, Mr. Chittaranjan Thakur and Mr. Sanjay Mishra received this award from Md Tata Steel at JRD Tata Sport Complex on the Founders Day.
  3. 4th March’22 was celebrated as 51st National Safety Day at ISWPL. Safety flag hoisting and oath taking ceremony was graced by Mr. Neeraj Kant, MD ISWP, Mr. Pankaj Singh, General Secretary ISWP Union, Mr. Srikant Singh, Dy. President ISWP Union, and senior officials, officers, and employees. ISWP celebrates the month of March every year as the Safety Month, wherein various events like “Hunt the Hazard”, Drawing competition for employee’s ward, quiz competition etc. and awareness sessions are organized by Safety, Health, and Environment Team. 
  4. 8th Mar’22 was celebrated as International Women’s Day. Udaan team organized various events on the day. Ms. Chandra Sharan, Director, Basera Empowerment OPC Pvt Ltd graced the occasion.
  1. National Road safety Week was celebrated from 11th Jan’22 to 17th Jan’22.
  2. Towards a more sustainable future, and the need for more environment-friendly processes, product. ISWP successfully completed trial of Non-Copper coated MIG Wires and production is expedited for commercial dispatch.
  3. ISWPL was conferred with Five Star Rating in CSMS Assessment from TSGW (Tata Steel Global wires) for its Wire Mill Section.
  4. 73rd Republic Day celebrated at ISWPL. Mr. Neeraj Kant, MD ISWP hoisted the National Flag in presence of ISWP Union General Secretary Mr Pankaj Singh, Union Dy. President Mr. Srikant Singh and Senior Leadership team following COVID protocols.
  1. ISWPL celebrated 14th Dec’21-18th Dec’21 as National Energy Conservation Week. Various events were conducted on this occasion which includes Slogan Competition, Quiz for employees, awareness session on energy conservation. As a symbolic approach, ISWPL inculcate “No Vehicle Day” campaign as awareness on 15th of Dec’21.
  2. 14th CII ENCON Awards 2021.
    ISWPL was adjusted as a State Winner- Jharkhand and has also successfully achieved in the Large-Scale category of Energy Conservation 2021.
  3. As every year, 20th Dec’21 was celebrated at ISWPL Day. Various events like Mini Marathon, Talent Show, Donation Campaign was conducted following Covid Protocols. On ISWPL day, various inauguration which includes, Digital Learning classroom, ISWP-Decoiling machine at Rodmill and 10-Blocker Wire Drawing Machine no 142 and new improved Aayush Coating at GI section was done in presence of MD ISWPL, Mr. Neeraj Kant ,Senior Leadership Team and Union president. for better life of wires.
  1. This year ISWPL celebrated “Suggestion Mela” on 16th & 17th Nov’21 and made it a grand success. The Mela was conducted across the organization including all the EPA’s. Around 2860 no’s of suggestion was received during the Mela. As a token of participation, one pen was rewarded for each suggestion received.

  1. ISWPL has embarked on the journey of making its workforce agile and innovative by institutionalising diversity and inclusion at workplace. To commemorate this, a campaign of “Diversity week” is run by UDAAN group to raise awareness on the importance of diversity & inclusion among all. Diversity Week is being celebrated from October 4, 2021, to October 11, 2021, and a range of events including awareness sessions for our employees was conducted. A small awareness session for our senior/mid management level officers, – An interaction with Mr. Siddhartha Shah, D&I, Tata Steel and Mr. Neeraj Kant was organized on 4th Oct’21.
  2. ISWPL celebrated Vigilance Awareness Week from 26th Oct’21to 1st Nov’21. An awareness session was organised on vigilance, chaired by MD ISWPL Mr. Neeraj Kant. All Senior leaders, Union Office bearers and employees participated in the session connected virtually took pledge to be more vigilant and introspect their activities to make it a better ethical workplace.
1. ISWP Sports Ground was inaugurated by Mr. Chanakya Chaudhary, VP (CS), Tata Steel, in presence of Mr. Neeraj Kant, MD- ISWP and Mr. Rakeshwar Pandey, Union President on 8th Sept’21. All Senior team of ISWP and Tata Steel Sport team were present in the occasion and made it a grand success. Mr. Chanakya Chowdhury, VP (CS) Tata Steel along with Mr. Neeraj Kant MD ISWP, meeting the National and International level archers, who were nurtured through ISWP sports team and Tata Steel Archery. 

1. ISWP bagged the “Energy Efficient unit “award in the CII National Award for Energy Excellence 2021 for the 2nd consecutive year.

2. As a part of strategic objective of ramping up the production volume of WRM upto 0.3mtpa, the Rodmill expansion ground-breaking ceremony was initiated in the presence of Mr. Neeraj Kant, MD ISWPL and other senior dignitaries.

3. Sports Update: ISWPL participated in the ID carrom Championship organized and hosted by Tata Steel for all its division and group companies. A total of 14 teams participated in the event. Team ISWP were the 2nd

Runners-up in the event. This is for third consecutive year, ISWP has won a award in this event.

1. ISWP bagged its first ever award as the Most Innovative Environment Project in the CII National Award for Environmental Best Practices 2020. 

2. ISWPL celebrated Ethics month with the Theme” Resilience through empathy and Kindness”. Various events were organized like poster competitions, slogans, Online ethics quiz.

3. ISWP SHE dept launched a safety Campaign on “Use Tools not Hand” on 1st July 2021. This campaign will be followed till Sept’21. Various activities are planned during this campaign like safety training, revision of SOP’s through JCC, Team formation to eliminate critical Man-Machine Interface, developing Audio-Video SOP module and other various awareness programs. This is deep drive approach towards eliminating incidents and achieving Zero Harm.

4. ISWP organized inter departmental Sports Quiz on 24th July on eve of JRD Tata Birthday. The quiz was organized by our sports team with help of TSL sport team. Rodmill and Wire Business team were the joint winners of the Quiz whereas General Services held the 1st Runners-up Position.

TPM Level-3 exercise was kicked off on June 24, 2021 through virtual platform. The occasion was graced by Mr Neeraj Kant, MD, ISWP, Mr. Rakeshwar Pandey, President, Wire Products Labour Union, Mr. Surajit Deb, TPM Consultant and Dr. Pankaj Kumar, Chief-TQM, Tata Steel and other senior dignitaries of ISWP. ”

1. Successfully commissioned PM-10 Dust Analyser at ISWP Works. This will help to analyse real time dust emission of PM-10. This analyser is connected to the server of Jharkhand State Pollution Control Board.

2. Health Index Monitoring was conducted for all our employees including the contractor employees and a score of 13.32 on a scale of 16 was achieved.

1. 2nd March 2021 – The first ever large scale production unit of Graphene Oxide Flakes, named as Graphiti, set up in ISWP premises, was inaugurated by Mr Ratan Tata, Chairman Emeritus, Tata Sons in the presence of Mr. N Chandrasekaran, Group Chairman, Tata Sons and Mr. T.V. Narendran, MD & CEO, Tata Steel and Mr. Neeraj Kant, MD, ISWP and other senior dignitaries from Tata Steel and ISWP.

2. 4th March 2021National Safety Day was celebrated following all COVID-19 protocols. Safety flag hoisting and oath taking ceremony was graced by Mr. Neeraj Kant, MD, ISWP, Mr. Rakeshwar Pandey, President, Wire Products Labour Union, and some senior official. ISWP celebrates the month of March every year as the Safety Month, wherein various events and awareness sessions are organized by Safety, Health and Environment Team. ”

Road Safety Week was celebrated from January 11, 2021 to January 17, 2021. Various events like, Road Safety Quiz for employees, online quiz for officers, health check-up for heavy vehicle drivers, awareness session though a campaign “Road safety on Wheels”, etc. were organized to create road safety awareness among the employees.

1. ISWP participated in TPM Consistency Assessment (Level-2) administered by Japan Institute of Plant Maintenance (JIPM) and has been conferred “Excellence in Consistent TPM Commitment” Award.

 

2. ISWP Day was celebrated following all Covid-19 protocols.  Various virtual events were conducted like, Virtual Run, launch of initiatives for Diversity, inauguration of 33 KV sub-station, Virtual Cultural events, etc.”

1. First week of November 2020 was celebrated as the Vigilance Week, which commenced with a Vigilance Pledge on October 30, 2020 on virtual platform. The event was graced by Mr. Neeraj Kant, MD, ISWP and Mr. Rakeshwar Pandey, President, Wire Product Labour Union.

2. In TBEM Assessment 2020, ISWP achieved a score of 576 points, an increase by 25 points over the score of 2018 assessment.

1. ISWP bagged the Green Co Trending Performer Award in the Green Co Summit held on October 7, 2020.

 

2. ISWP participated in the CII National HR Excellence Award Assessment 2020 and achieved an increase in score by one band (i.e., from 500-550 to 551-600).”

ISWP bags the 3rd position in the ‘Manufacturing – Large Scale (up to 2500 employees)’ category of the CII Eastern Region Safety, Health and Environment Excellence Awards 2019-20.”

“ISWP is recognized with the “Energy Efficient Unit” award in metal category in the 21st National Award for Excellence in Energy Management-2020 organized by CII.”

ISWPL was declared passed in the 1st stage assessment of the TPM Consistency Award 2020 by JIPM, Japan. The assessment was done on the virtual platform.

MD, ISWPL congratulated all for this and has asked to focus on preparing to excel in the second stage of assessment.

World Environment Day – ISWP celebrates its dedication to preserving of the environment on 5th June 2020. The inaugural event held on a digital platform was the first of its kind and was attended by Mr. Neeraj Kant, MD ISWP, Mr. Pankaj Singh, General Secretary, ISWP WPLU, Mr. Srikant Singh, President ISWP WPLU, and Mr. Amit Sarkar, General Secretary, JEMCO, among all the other employees of ISWP. This year’s theme: “Biodiversity – It’s time for nature”, focuses on water conservation and steps to minimize impact on the environment.

1. MD interaction with officers: The sixth annual MD interaction with all the officers took place on 12.05.2020 over the web through Microsoft Team. 97% of officers attended the meeting. MD apprised all about the impact of COVID-19.

Going forward he viewed that leveraging of the opportunities, real-time decision making, adoption of new work culture, improved workforce productivity, automation of routine works will be the key factors for success.

He showed his confidence in the team ISWPL and assured that the golden period of ISWPL is approaching.

1.  Mr. Neeraj Kant, MD, ISWP was the speaker for “BAKE” Sessions organized by Jamshedpur Management Association (JMA) organized on 17thApril, 2020. He spoke about “Marketing & Branding”.

1.  Women’s Day Celebration – ISWP marks the occasion with the launch of the first edition of a yearly all-women’s e-magazine “Udaan”.

2.  ISWP stands against COVID 19 – ISWP observes and practices all necessary precautions with mandated work-from-home for all non-essential services, constant and complete sanitizing of the workplace and regular awareness drives.

GreenCo Silver -“ISWP furthers its journey towards Environment Excellence – GreenCo Rating System (under CII) rates ISWP as ” GreenCo Silver “. The announcement came on 6th February, 2020 after a stringent assessment process spanning over a period of one year.”

20th Dec is celebrated as ISWP day since. Many events & Competition to engage employee & their family member in a week for 13th  to 20th  Dec19. The employees who successful completed the 25,30,35,40 year of serve at ISWP were recognized on 18th   December’19 during ISWP family function at officers club.

‘Suggestion Mela 2019’ organized 22nd  November 2019. The target of 100% coverage of employees made it a grand success. Record of highest no. of suggestion received during the mela was made.

ISWP celebrates as ‘INNOVATION MONTH’ opening function held at ISWP auditorium on 1st October 2019 in the presence of chief of guest, Mr. Neeraj Kant , MD ISWPL & Guest of honor Mr. Rakeshwar Pandey, President wire product labor & Jemco union. Member of SLT, union office bear, office & associate were present the function.
